"Drowning In Need" ~Lord of the Lakes Ch...
Post a Comment

Good job guys. This one definitely gets my 10 stars for inspiration!

Im not from this church, but i do think they did a wonderful job on portraying a message through their ministry. 10 stars from me!

Impressive works!

Great Message!

Very Touching! Very Touching!

Great video!

Iknow the responsible people that started and run this mission.
They have grown fast because of the great need and because of their inviting outreach. HANDS is a wonderful visual; we all were given hands to help! God's grace on these workers and this church for their mission! skg

"Idle hands are the devil's playthings" is very true. But there are no idle hands at our Thrift

This is a very heartwarming mission project and I especially like the focus on hands. The final message of "How are you using yours?" leaves a person with something to think about.

Great job Lord of the Lakes in getting this wonderful project up and running so well. With the economy the way it is, there is a great need for families to have sources where they can find good clean items to stretch their family's dollars. Your volunteers have really made this mission a success!

There is so much need for helping less fortunate, and you are doing truly the Gods work. Keep it up! God bless you all,
Sincerely, Spomenka Weaver SC

Very inspiring. I can only imagine the time and effort that went in to getting this up and running and now to keep it operational. Hats off to those involved--may God continue to bless your ministry!

I loved this video. My Mother always said idle hands the devel's work. I loved these hands were all helping. Where do I send a donation? :) MMK in Columbia, SC

I am so impressed by this project and this video! Great job Lord of the Lakes and prayers to your team for success!

Very WEll Done!!! From one to ten this deserves a ten!!! I hope you win!!

Thanks Lord of the Lakes people for all you do for reaching outward in your community! "Drowning in Need" is a great" video!

Thank you all for the wonderful comments again! The thrift shop really does help many people in our area, but the message behind the thrift shop is what is most important! The thrift shop is how we help those in need locally....but its just what WE DO.... How can you use your hands in your community to do God's Work?

What an awesome video it really tells you how much thrift and gift helps others.

Small communities can make a difference! The video "Drowning in Need" shows examples of how people can work together and how they can have an impact on their local community and on an international level. Awesome video!

I really love how a small community can make such a difference. What if everyone in every community banded together like this, what the world could be like!

cool video

This is a great video of mission work that is local as well as international. The people of Winneconne, Wi have been amazing in their support of this mission. So often we think of mission work just abroad but the recent economic situation has made us realize the needs that are right here at home. Thank you for your support of this mission and this video. God Bless you all in God's Work!

As a non-member of this church, I still am really inspired by how you are able to reach out to so many in need. It really makes me want to get out there to save people from "drowning in need"!

This is really a tough video to watch! All of us are "drowning in some kind of need. . .physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. As Christians, we have a responsibility to reach out to our brothers and sisters in Christ (as well as non-believers!)who need God's help. And we provide that help with our own hands, heads and hearts!!!

I think the video was extremely well done. The thrift shop is meeting the needs of so many who are in a sense "drowning" and portrays an excellent mission that church is fulfilling for the community and even to those around the world

This service (and video) is incredible! I always thought thrift shops were "for profit". It is awesome to see this as a non-profit organization that has a sole mission to help people around the world.

"Drowning in Need" is best example of the hands at work message!

Great JOB!!!

It most certainly is inspirational!

Truly Inspirational!

To those of you who organized this mission, to those of you who work tirelessly during your 'shifts': what a blessing you are to the Face of Christianity!

Great, great ministry. Fabulous video. Award winning. You guys are FABULOUS and deserve to win. You are winners. I pray God continues to bless the workers and the shoppers at Thrift and Gift. You're the best.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments, they are greatly appreciated! Spread the message of God's Work Our Hands!

"Drowning in Need" shows how one congregation has reached outward!

Great job!

Very heart touching!!! It makes you realize that God has His hands on His people and they deserve His blessings. Beautiful work on the video.

Excellent video!

I love the emphasis on the hands in the video Drowning in Need! The video didn't emphasize the people but rather the hands get all the credit! Great Job!!

Great to be part of your family in our Lord Jesus! God's work is being done thru YOUR hands! Yahoooooooo!

Great job on the video. I'm glad we highlighted the Thrift and Gift as the subject for the video to tell even more people about the great work being done there. Well done!

This is wonderfully done -- I really get a picture of the thrift shop and the people who interact there -- and loved the ending!

Yahoo! This is mission work in action, touching our nearby neighbors and caring about those who are far away as well! May God continue to bless our faith-filled acts and surprise us with so many new friendships as we serve!!

the video is amazing!! lord of the lakes is truly a great service to God and our thrift store proves it! I'm proud to be a member : )
(nice hand krysta!)

This video is great... not just because my hand is in it, but because it is very moving.

Thank you all so very much for all of your wonderful comments! We do hope this video gets the message we intended across!

Excellent Video, Great Message at the end!

Wonderful Job! I like how it really showed how you can work with your hands to do God's Work, How everyone can do their own things to help those in need.

Very inspiring!

Awesome job!

I really wish my community had this type of community service in the small town where I reside. This type of service allows all ages and every type of culture or religion to contribute to helping those in need world wide. After all, isn't this what Jesus would want us to do? This service is wonderful, as well as the video's narrative since it gives a great explanation how the money is distributed!

If any of us saw someone drowning in water, we would all do something to help save that person!!! Real people are really drowning in poverty and all of its' related problems, e.g., hunger, ignorance, disease, anger, crime, etc.
No Christian can ignore such a cry for help! And we have our hands, and hearts, and heads to provide the ways and means of rescuing these tortured souls!
Let's all pray for the strength and patience to KEEP reaching out to those who are "Drowning In Need"!!!

Drowning can touch so many people - and what a better way than to recycle!

Great video, Drowning in Need! It seems that you are creating opportunities for people to serve with their hands and hearts.

God be with you in your ministry to people in need in Wisconsin and beyond!

Drowning in Need is a great video that talks about ideas that can be done locally to fit the needs of the community. Good ending!

very moving, great message, nice work!!!!

very moving, great message, nice work!!!!

Very moving...what a wonderful outreach for your community as well as beyond your walls.

I really like how this video explains that the money comes from the community's thrift shop, as well as explaining exactly where the money goes when assisting those in need; great work portraying this through the video clip!

What a great video and message! Great job!

I agree!

How true that is!

This contest is not about which congregation does the most for people in their community, it is about how we can inspire others to do God's Work with their hands in their own communities, it is about the message behind what each church/individual does and the ability of the video to inspire others to lift their hands to help those in need. God's Work OUR Hands....

Hope it does well. The message is what is most important for sure!

Sweet video. Powerful message behind it.

I hope you guys do well, people really need to see the message here that you are trying to relay.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments.

Wonderful!

Absoulutly. Brilliant.

super cool video!!!

This is a very creative take on helping in a local way and that they are tied into giving internationally. Great job!

Great video! Hope it does well in the contest!!!

It isn't just about our congregation and what we do. We tried to deliver the message behind what we do and tried to tell others who see our video that they can use their hands in so many other ways to do God's work too.

We are a small congregation, but we have many dedicated members who are always looking for ways to help those in need.

This video really shows what the purpose is--helping those who so have little. I really love the "community" spirit that this video portrays--very effective.

Thank you all so much for all your comments!

Very moving video. The ending is awesome!

Way to go guys, great video! Hope it does well! It really does deliver a powerful message that so many need to hear!

Your RIGHT! It isn't just about what we are doing in our local community. It is all about how everyone can help in their own way to do God's Work! We are so glad you are seeing the real message!

How inspirational! Great delivery of the message. Really shows how a local church can work together to help those in need. I also love how they show that its not just what they are doing, but about what can be done by anyone with their hands to help those in need! Absolutely love the ending!

Its just great how they mention how they are helping yet still turn it around and point out that question to the viewer on how can we all help with our hands to do God's work. Very good message. Heart warming!

Great video!!

This is really nice to see that a local Wisconsin church/ non-profit thrift store is able to make such a worldwide reach to those in need. May God bless you and all that you do.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. We really tried to go beyond the thrift store and what we do here in our community and really tried to deliver the message of using your hands to do Gods work in your own community, in whatever ways you can think of.

Really enjoyed watching this message! Very powerful ideas, well presented. We all need to be using our hands in some way to do God's work here on earth.

Full-filling a need. Wonderful.

Great job!

great video! Tells what we all could do!

What a great mission, serving all of God's people! Inspires us all to use our hands for God's work!

I love the ending. Really leaves it open for thought. Great Job guys!

Awesome message! I love how it goes beyond just what they are doing locally. Really made me think about what i could do with my hands to do Gods Work.

Wow! How moving. This video and the services these people offer are truly an inspiration to anyone. Good luck guys!
